Dry vs. Wet Cleaning

The type of soiling and the types of surfaces to be cleaned are two factors we consider when determining what type of cleaning method we use to remove smoke and soot from a home or business.

The Dry Cleaning Method is typically the first step in removing smoke and soot, and involves the use of a dry chem sponge. This type of sponge is made of 100% natural rubber, and is non-abrasive.

Wet cleaning, on the other hand, involves the use of specialty solutions to remove smoke and soot. Caution is needed with this method, because wet solutions can only be used on non-porous surfaces (semi or gloss paint). It's not as fast as the dry cleaning method, but it is useful for removing heavy soiling from soot.

Before and After

With this home, we offer a before and after look at our structure cleaning, with results you can SEE. We worked from one side of the home to the other, sponging and wet cleaning the walls. We also ran an air scrubber in the home, which helped reduce the smoke odor tremendously.
