In May 2018, SERVPRO of Macon hosted the 10th annual Golf and Give Classic at the Brickyard golf course. Thanks to generous sponsors, business and volunteers in the community, we were able to raise $11,000 for the Methodist Children's Home, which goes toward school supplies, clothes and building maintenance for their Macon campus.

This commercial water damage happened on the 7th floor and ended up all the way on the bottom floor. This was due to the sprinkler system going off and crews were on the scene for a couple weeks to get everything back Like It Never Even Happened.

This Macon, Georgia home suffered severe Mold Damage due to  a broken water pipe. The homeowners were out of town for and extended vacation and came home to find there home with extensive damage.

This apartment in Macon suffered a water damage loss while it was vacant for a month. This picture was taken after the Mold Damage was discovered. Because of the severity of the Mold Damage the drywall had to be completely removed from top to bottom. 

This mold damage was discovered by the homeowner when they were replacing there old dishwasher. When the installer removed the old dishwasher he found mold on the back of the cabinet wall. The customer called there insurance company and SERVPRO of Macon was called in to remediate the mold. After the cabinets were removed there was significant mold growth on the drywall and under the ceramic tile floors and even into the crawl space. These hardwood floors were wet from a toilet leak. SERVPRO of Macon was on the scene within a few hours and we were able to save the hardwood floors. The owner was very happy we were able to save his floors and not have to replace them.  

It was determined that this fire was the result of faulty wiring on the refrigerator in the basement. The fire caused extensive smoke damage in the basement and upstairs. The grease is also carried within the smoke and leaves a greasy residue on the walls. In this case, we have to thoroughly clean the walls using our SERVPRO Industrial cleaners and Kiltz over to remove all signs of the damage.

Our Marketing Representatives along with our dedicated owner, Carl Goodrich, attend middle Georgia's P&C Industry Day held at the historic Armory Ballroom in downtown Macon. Carl had the pleasure of teaching a class on Ethics to a large group of various Insurance Agents. 

We were fortunate enough to raise $8,000 dollars in our non-profit annual Golf and Give Classic in 2017. Here we are honored to present this check to The Children's Methodist Home whose mission is to be a model agency that restores childhoods, strengthens families and cultivates a people-building organization. 

This photo was taken during a commercial duct cleaning job at Standard Textile, an industrial manufacturing plant. We completely removed all of the cotton, dust, and debris that is often sucked into the return ducts and settles into the duct work. 

This was a large commercial water damage and fire that happened in downtown Macon. The building suffered smoke and water damage due to a fire next door. Because of the size of the building and the fact that the power was out we brought in our large commercial desiccant dehumidifier and generator to dry the building. We were able to dry the building within a few days.

• Remain Calm...although it can be a stressful situation, handled appropriately, it can be mitigated

• Shut off main water source or the affected pipe if able to be isolated
• Depending on the amount of water and areas affected, it may be necessary to shut down the electrical breaker. This needs to be done prior to unplugging or removing any electrical devices from affected areas
• Place aluminum foil under any legs or feet of furniture that may either affect the furniture or possibly contain a stain that could damage the carpet
• Raise or tack  any curtains, draperies, or furniture skirts from the wet floor
• Move any items that may cause damage to the carpet, such as books, papers, or plants. These items may "bleed," or stain the carpet once they become saturated.

A large water damage occurred at the Macon-Bibb courthouse over the fourth of July weekend which proved to be no match for SERVPRO of Macon! Our crews were on-site within 1 hour and worked throughout the weekend in order to allow business to resume work on Monday. Most of the water ended up in the basement area where there were a large amount of files and records that were damaged by water.
